Diane J. Skiba, PhD, FAAN is an Associate Professor and Health Care Informatics Coordinator at the University of Colorado Health Care Sciences Center. Since 1982, she has taught nurses in the field of nursing informatics. She currently is funded by the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) Division of Nursing, Advanced Nurse Education Training grant to prepare nurses in the field of informatics. The grant supports their online Master's degree program and funds the I-Collaboratory, an online community to support informatics learners.

A longstanding member of the American Medical Informatics Association, Dr. Skiba served as the Chair of the Nursing Informatics Work Group (NIWG) and is currently chair of the NI-WG Membership Committee.
